We are the Ladies who love Craft Beer.
We are the Ladies who don’t know anything about Craft Beer.
We are the Ladies who study Craft Beer.
We are the Ladies who misunderstand Craft Beer.
We are the Ladies who brew Craft Beer.
We are the Ladies who have never tasted Craft Beer.
We are a group of Ladies having conversations about a common thread that interests us and keeps us learning. We are dedicated to the advocacy of delicious and diverse beers brewed with the tradition in mind that women were the original “Craft Brewsters”. It is in our blood… it is our passion… it’s what we do.
We are the Ladies of Craft Beer.
Cheers!
Stevie Caldarola: Founder, President and Editor
Stevie Caldarola, while growing up, always swore that she would never drink beer. She hated carbonation of any kind, (including… *gasp* soda!) and had only been exposed to slightly yellow fizzy drink. Upon moving from her hometown on Long Island, New York to New York City, however, Stevie found that her pockets couldn’t sustain her usual drink on nights out, so a friend suggested that she try Magic Hat #9, since it was less fizzy and had a bit more flavor to it. While it wasn’t her favorite, #9 introduced Stevie to a world she never knew existed known as craft beer. This inspired Stevie to start asking more questions and talking about craft beer more, and since she was already a social media geek, she gained a voice upon Facebook and Twitter which lead to more and more interaction with other ladies involved in/interested in craft beer. With the help of some other craft beer ladies, Stevie came up with the idea for Ladies of Craft Beer as an online publication for women to make other women more aware of craft beer.
Besides Ladies of Craft Beer, Stevie does freelance graphic and web design, photography, theatrical lighting work, and video editing. Having just driven cross country to move from NYC to Denver, Colorado, Stevie is in the market for a new job, particularly looking to work with breweries, since she is a homebrewer with aspirations to one day own her own brewpub. She is the Western Slope columnist for Rocky Mountain Brewing News. Sometimes, she even gets some sleep…

Ahhh! I’m so excited to find you! Brilliant website, and desperately needed out there. I’m a novice homebrewer, experienced lover of delicious crafts and micros, and advocate for a stronger female presence in the world of Beer. Cheers to you all!
